The following is a brief summary of what I believe:
God
There is one God, who exists eternally as three distinct persons – the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost (Lk. 3:21-22, 1 Jn. 5:7). Each person of the Trinity is equally God; they are one in essence, they love one another and agree with one another perfectly (Jn. 10:30-33).
The Bible
God Almighty has preserved His Word (Psa. 12:6-7). The King James Bible, also known as the Authorized Version of 1611, is the perfect Word of God in the English language.
The Sinner
Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, fell into sin (Gen. 3, Rom. 5:12-14, 1 Tim. 2:14). We are their descendants, and thus are born with a sin nature; we naturally choose sin (Ecc. 7:20, Rom. 6:23, 7:15). We cannot please God by our works because our works are dead (Heb. 6:1), and thus cannot earn salvation and must rely completely upon the grace of God (Eph. 2:8-9). Our first birth is no good; we must be born again (Jn. 1:12-13, 3:1-7, 1 Pet. 1:23).
The Saviour
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Word manifest in the flesh (Jn. 1:1,14). He is equally God and man; this is one of the mysteries (1 Tim. 3:16, Col. 2:9, Ph. 2:6). The Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin (Isa. 7:14, Lk. 1:26-35), lived a perfect sinless life (Heb. 4:15), performed miracles (Acts 2:22, 10:38), died on the cross for the sins of the world, was buried and rose again the third day (1 Cor. 15:3-4). He is the only Saviour (Jn. 14:6, Acts 4:12) and mediator between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5). He is the only begotten Son of God (Lk. 1:35, Jn. 3:16, 1 Jn. 5:20), the Lamb of God (Jn. 1:29) and the Last Adam (1 Cor. 15:45-47). The Lord Jesus Christ will return with all His saints (1 Thes. 3:13) to setup a physical kingdom on the earth (Rev. 19:11-21).
God’s Salvation
Salvation is the free gift of God (Rom. 6:23) that is received by faith alone (Eph. 2:8-9) when one believes the gospel (1 Cor. 15:3-4) and trusts only in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour (Eph. 1:13). Repentance of sins, turning from sins, changing one’s lifestyle, confession, prayer and anything else added to faith are all works (Jn. 3:10, Col. 4:12, Rom. 3:20-26). All who reject the Lord Jesus Christ will die in their sins (Jn. 8:24), and suffer the second death in the lake of fire (Rev. 20:14, 21:8). It is not God’s will that ANY should perish (1 Tim. 2:4, 2 Pet. 3:9). Sin is not imputed to those without understanding (babies, mentally handicapped individuals, etc. – see Jn. 9:41, 2 Sam. 12:22-23).
